In exploring this theme, the artists consider light as a metaphor, as something more than a physical phenomenon. More light can be understood as a source of inspiration, a symbol of knowledge and hope, as well as a force of destruction. Light and shadow belong together, mutually influencing each other.

Through a complex interplay, including reflection and translucency, proximity and distance, present and future, emotions can be evoked, visions generated, and stories told. Light also brings the process into focus: growth, repetition, transformation.
New creations emerge in the diverse media of artistic expression, oscillating between transparency and opacity, exterior and interior.
